So, no, he isn't just milking the system to line his own pockets, he took this job because he decided to do what was right for America, wherever that takes him, and wherever it ends up.
There might have been daylight to argue otherwise before the 12 Russians were indicted, but since then I think it's pretty inarguably clear that the bolded is correct.

Yeah. I agree. He's on autopilot doing what he thinks he should do.

I suppose there have been cases where a special prosecutor finished up in 2 years and announced that he was done, but I don't know of any.

Whitewaterwas investigated from Jan, 94 until Sep 20, 2000. Over 6 years! People's lives were destroyed (perhaps even ended), people went to jail, but the Clintons were never convicted.

Might want to keep that in mind every time one of the NeverTrumpers declares that the end is near.

The best I can figure out is

#1 Malloch is anti-EU.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-a7549696.html

#2 Dividing Europe and getting them to function as a disorganized mess is in Russian interests.

#3 It appears to be a fact that the FBI is interested in this guy and he is a fervent Trump supporter.

#4 Something he was doing must have attracted the FBI's attention.

Was he communicating with Russians who wanted to help him break apart the EU?

How would that translate to supporting Trump and relate to the election

Mueller is not after Trump.

Mueller is after the Russians and anyone who conspired with foreign agents to influence the election.

If Trump wasn't a co-conspirator, no worries. He can go about his business doing whatever it is he does.
Exactly.

A lot of speculation and attacks on Mueller here, but the real question is 'why Malloch?'

The Guardian says this, quoting the man himself:

Malloch, who described himself as a policy wonk and defender of Trump, said the FBI also asked him about his relationship with Roger Stone, the Republican strategist, and whether he had ever visited the Ecuadorian embassy in London ...

So there you go.

No doubt about it.

The FBI knows something.

The FBI 'knows something' because they want to talk to Malloch?
Mueller has interviewed scores of people. Scores! 60; 70; 80, maybe. Four have been charged with anything. But suddenly you single out Malloch and declare that 'the FBI must know something'.
Nah........

Malloch “is scheduled to testify in Washington D.C. on April 13th under Robert Mueller’s Grand Jury investigation,” Hector Carosso, a representative of Skyhorse Publishing, said in a separate email.
Trust me. The investigators are not interested in Malloch's book.

As the article you linked to notes Malloch is an associate of Nigel Farage, who is also a "person of interest" to the investigation.

Nigel Farage is a former U.K. Independence Party member who led the Brexit charge.

Farage has relationships with individuals connected to both the Trump campaign and Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder whom Farage visited in March.

And, of course, Wikileaks is where the DNC email hack is said to have originated.

Nigel Farage also had links to Cambridge Analytica and SCL Group during the Brexit vote, and he also has links to the Mercers and Bannon.

His name has also come up in the British parliament's investigation into SCL Group's possible role in the manipulation in the Brexit vote.

Alexander Nix, the head of Cambridge Analytica and SCL Group also has been shown to have had contacts with Julian Assange. See the second thread below.

Some of this was mentioned in the many articles I've posted in the Cambridge Analtyica thread over the last few weeks. Here are two articles from the UK Guardian to help explain.

Just want to add that it appears that the UK parliament committee investigating possible manipulation in the Brexit vote is sharing information with the U.S. DOJ investigation into the U.S. election.

The common links are: Cambridge Analytica and its parent company SCL Company, the Mercers, Bannon, Nigel Farage, Julian Assange and Wikileaks.

All will be revealed in time (assuming there is anything to be revealed). But again, my hunch is that Cambridge Analytica and SCL are not just of interest because of the FB scraping.

I will add this latest to that thread as well.

The mods decided to remove that thread from sticky-dom, but here is the link to it for those who want to add to it or read the info many have contributed there.
