Yep, the measures taken seem to be common sense kind of safety measures. What did those kids expect was going to make the school safer? Speeches at protests? More laws that criminals and crazies won't obey?

Parkland students mock new security measure — clear backpacks

Sarah Chadwick, snapped a photo of the new backpacks with price tags attached and tweeted directly at Florida Sen. Marco Rubio — a nod to what she has previously characterized as students’ “worth” to the senator, who she calculated has received $3.3 million from the National Rifle Association, or $1.05 for each of Florida's estimated 3.1 million students.

“Is that all we’re worth to these politicians?” Chadwick asked during a rally last month.

Someone needs to explain that in addition to the tax payer funded backpacks they received, they are also receiving, from the tax payers, their jail-like atmosphere.

Not to mention their taxpayer funded educations. I’m sorry they’re displeased at the steps taken to keep them safe. Someone needs to explain to them that government moves s l o w l y and even if things change in the ways they’d like it’s not going to be quick or easy.

Survived a mass shooting and you just can’t let off on these kids can you? Name calling, personal insults, comments about their looks. The list goes on. What kind of warped minds behave like this?

Yes, I was just thinking that. It doesn't get much lower than to personally attack children who are reacting to being survivors of mass murder that happened in their school.

What they asked for was to not have to face gun in their schools, not being made to feel like they were in jail. Be careful what you accuse people of, because you may look like either a liar or an idiot if you can't distinguish between two completely different things.
