Trump's attacks on Amazon set the precedent that a future Democratic president can specifically target a successful conservative company by name in repeated attacks designed to depress the stock and damage the company. Looking forward to the silence and support from Republicans when that happens.
Obama set the precedent with his war on Fox... and y'all cheered him.
Walmart is a guilty as Amazon, and not a peep from Trump.
But Trump's actions set the precedent that a future Democratic president could go after a Walmart or any conservative company the same way. Trump supporters should remember that every single thing that Trump is doing that receives no pushback, means a future Democratic president can do the same thing. Looking forward to it.

There is absolutely zero comparison. But have no fear, a Democratic president can target a Koch or a Walmart because Trump did it and it was just fine with Republicans.

Stone age tactic for pressuring your vendors. Take the competition to dinner and make sure everyone knows about it. Might scare companies who have a tenuous grasp of market share but I doubt Amazon loses any sleep over it considering Oracle did such good work in Oregon, for example, they lost a $100M lawsuit over failure to deliver. I'm sure Trump doesn't much care if Oracle can do the job, just that he can stick it to Bezos.
If they were so bad I wonder why this was part of the settlement ?
Also included is a six-year unlimited license for Oregon’s government to use Oracle products and services, according to the Oregon statement.
I'm suspect it was for legacy systems and products, but I can't say for certain. Maybe some of their off-the-shelf products used in smaller or local offices?
Trump is so blatant, he doesn't even try to cover up what he's doing. Verbally attacking Amazon, and wishes he could somehow penalize them through policy.
And then days later, he meets with Amazon's rival. Incredible.
President Trump’s dislike for CEO Jeff Bezos may not matter. The Pentagon says it’s received over a thousand comments, including messages from 46 companies, that Amazon should get the winner-take-all $10B Pentagon cloud contract. So far, Trump hasn’t commented on the matter.
This is LITERALLY what they do in communist/socialist companies: the ruling party, your company is going down. Looks like Trump is going for the Venezuelan economic model now.
