I’m sure the usual suspects here are getting ready to scream racism and xenophobia if Trump actually tries to protect our citizens from unchecked illegal migration.

What would these same folks say if Canada deployed their military to stop our poor from coming in?

Well there are some like the group that is supporting the alien horde that is coming to invade America that do not believe in any borders at all so they would expect no resistance from Canada.

The thing is it is humane to worry about people that are fleeing war torn dangerous areas, economic problems, climate change problems like dying crops and drought but we cannot be the savior of the world. We also have to think if the people that are migrating from some sort of calamity is not doing so just so they can come here and take advantage of our generosity and get on welfare.

We can only do so much before America is transformed into a third world country, the thing is when that happens and things get bad here the illegal aliens can go back home but where do we go?

Canada, like most developed nations, strictly enforces their borders, and enforces their immigration law which is also very strict, and limiting.

If someone is attempting to break into your house, you try to stop them...nuff said.

So...many of these people are refugees who intend to go directly to immigration to ask for refugee status. Your argument would be more accurately framed as:

If someone comes to your house seeking help, you turn them away or stop them.

I would consider helping but, they can't come in.

They’re refugees when they crossed the border into Mexico. Once they cross into the second country, they are economic migrants.
