Rasmussen, like most polling companies, projected a win for Hillary in 2016.
Trump loves polls when outcomes are favorable to him and condemns them when the outcome is unfavorable.
I'm aware. And I doubt that many people under 40 have landlines any more. By targeting them, they are trying to stay away from the demographics that won't provide confirmation bias. Trump and Rasmussen are obviously big fans of each other. That's why I go to Polling Report to get a blended view from all reporting polls.

You statements may be a little emotional but factually you are dead on the money. The longer Trump is on office and the more people begin to really understand what kind of person he is, the harder it is for his supporters to maintain credibility or to defend their positions. The only recourse is to retreat to a cult-like mentality in order to keep up their facade. While this is totally unprecedented here in the USA, there are plenty of examples in world history of demagogues and authoritarians that have maintained their power through cult worship.
