I was stopped twice in one trip home for having a license plate light out. Guess what? It was very late at night. And yes white people do have to worry about their skin color keeping them from getting jobs. Its why you never check the race box on an application. A black man of equal standing will always get the interview first nowadays.
That's exactly what "white male privilege" means. It does not mean that white males don't get pulled over by the cops; it means that they're not routinely subject to getting pulled over by the cops compared to black men.
I'm surprised this has to be spelled out. D'oh!

Same... was stopped at a gas station with my friends. They took us out, ripped the car apart. Found nothing . Gave me a "warning"... it happens to everyone.
I once had a state cop check my ID in a bar, make me go outside and sit in his patrol car while he investigated my background and my ID, then when everything came back "OK" he cut my ID in half and gave it back to me and said "have a nice day."
"Privilege" in this context does not mean economic privilege, but social privilege; not "rules", but practice. Such as:
White men don't have to worry about being stopped by cops while driving for less-than-minor violations ("your taillight is out").
White men don't have to worry about being shot by cops if they get pulled over while driving.
White boys' mothers don't have to instruct them to be submissive to cops, or to allow cops to abuse them physically without protest.
White men don't get shot by cops for holding a cell phone in one hand.
White men don't have to worry about being overly scrutinized if they enter a convenience store while wearing a hoodie and sunglasses.
White men don't have to wonder if their hair or skin color is the reason they didn't get a job.
No one's asking you to do anything about it; just asking that you be aware of it.
Sounds like it is government that is the problem and keeping the Black Americans down.

They intimidated you enough to be so passive, they own you for the rest of your life. Sad. I would never allow that to happen to anyone else.

maybe it is a regional thing. Maybe there are parts of the country where 99% of people are white and also the cops are just nicer? idk. Definitely not where I'm from, though, I can say that.
This. Who do they pick on in areas of low black populations? I can tell many stories of police harassment and violence toward whites, some cops are just bad.

Well for starters I'm not "god fearing"
second, I have no duty to police the police.
third, I'm not 'intimidated', i simply know how to pick my battles. I don't go headfirst into fights where I have nothing to gain from winning.
