The more government is involved, the less liberties you have.
Sorta like suggesting your sinking boat is better off because you have the freedom to refuse to bail.

All those countries showing greater freedoms than yours are more often than not called socialist/communist hell holes by yourself and others on here.

You cannot have it both ways.

Her comment was ill-advised in the current political climate, but your buddy Ted has been saying much more inflammatory things for years.
Including a threat to kill Obama which earned him a visit by the Men In Black.

We should all want that.

If your way is the right way -- these smart kids will find it.
10% of the marchers in D.C. were "kids", the average age of the other 90% was 49... the kids rode in the back seat as usual.

Apparently that's just me.
But you will spend as much time as necessary defending one if he agrees with your prior beliefs. Gotcha.

Is he any different than a DeNiro, Rob Reiner, Striesand spewing their political view?

Why get all worked up over people who do not matter. I think he's entertaining, much like DeNiro. Screw his politics.

You gotta have something to point to that looks like a worse example. It's the conservatives' favorite game.

Nobody in his or her right mind believes that making death threats is just somebody spouting off who should be ignored. This should not be a question with two different answers depending on political persuasion. This is why we have law enforcement.

OTOH, when one of yours does make death threats, you have to move quickly to change the subject, dilute the accusation, and otherwise do damage control whether you believe it's right or not.

Who do you think wrote the 1789 Const.? Deists or not they believed in ONE God -- not just anyone proclaiming to be Him. Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, Hamilton, Paine & even Washington fit this category. Educate oneself a bit prior to spouting off stuff. The Right To Bear Arms is Biblical as well as Jesus said, sell thy cloak if need be, to be able to get thy sword. Gospel of Luke, 22:36 at the last Supper.

Obviously for the need to defend vs anti-Christian virtues, no? Or just to plow the fields??
This phrase was added to the Pledge of Allegience in 1954.

Jesus also rebuked Peter when he actually used the sword, and restored the ear that Peter had cut off.

Jesus, Peter, and the Sword

As an agnostic, I absolutely do not believe that any deity had anything to do with the founding of America, regardless of the religious persuasion of anyone connected with it. I have seen mass delusions before.

Buddha, BTW, is not a god. Allah is the name the Muslims use for the same god Christians and Jews worship. You'd think he would have explained what he wanted a little better so all three groups could understand it and get along.

Oh boy.
It's an old sideshow stunt that has been done for years. The audience reaction is better, though, when they hammer spikes up their noses.
