Silly peasants, laws are for thee, not for those like me, lol.....
"........Yee also discussed buying weapons overseas and bringing them to the U.S. with two associates and an undercover agent. He accepted $6,800 and a list of arms for purchase in the Philippines.
The maneuvers were not only illegal, but also in stark contrast to what he had long purported to stand for.
Yee told CBS two years before he was arrested: “It is extremely important that individuals in the state of California do not own assault weapons. I mean that is just so crystal clear — there is no debate, no discussion.............”
And while he was awaiting sentencing he was still running for (Secretary of State? don't remember) and got a ton of votes by people that either didn't care he had federal convictions or were just so trained to vote Democrat that it didn't matter.

Yup, our state auditor, Troy Kelley, was indicted for real estate fraud (eventually convicted). When indicted, the governor wanted him to resign. Instead he went on leave, reportedly in order to maintain his benefits (paid for by taxpayers, of course). All legal. A libertarian friend has a good term for this sort of thing: 'codified corruption.'
There had been warnings about him prior to election, but he won because of the magic D next to his name.
I would wish him the best. Clearly he made some mistakes, but he did a lot of good as well in trying to get assault weapons banned. I have contacted Mayor Bloomberg's campaign to see about getting him a job in his time of trouble.

Yee pleaded guilty to felony racketeering charges for money laundering, public corruption, gun trafficking, and bribery. Mistakes, LOL... The guy is an outright criminal and anyone with a brain would be smart enough to stay away from this toxic lowlife.
