Most N. Korean goods come from China. China is already easing sanctions on NK based on the Trump/Kim agreement.
It's bigger than that. China is their only real trading partner. China doesn't need them much, but North Korea desperately needs China.
The thing that went right this time: China actually held the line on sanctions. They never did that before. If China is lifting sanctions then that's well and good. If and when Kim Jong Un moves to scam everyone, that's when we'll see what's what.
Still looking to see what nuclear capabilities (I said weapons, I'll back off that) we, the United States has in South Korea...
Then you must be familiar with the Seventh Air Force and its nuclear-capable F16s. Or the submarines docking in Busan.
Do they actually hold nukes? I don't think so.
Will North Korea be able to make a case that a commitment to a denuclearized Korean peninsula involves all of the peninsula? Seems logical.
Would the Chinese give their left arm to snoop around in US and South Korean military bases? We both know the answer to that.
Kim is now saying Trump promised to lift sanctions.
That's one thing Kim needs to learn: When dealing with Trump, always have a witness. Trump's own lawyers have admitted that they needed to send two people to all meetings with him, otherwise he'd just lie about what happened.
I really want to give Trump the benefit of the doubt and believe that POTUS did not agree to lift sanctions, so I have to assume that Kim is just trolling the crap out of Donald.
This is why previous US presidents did not want to deal with North Korean leaders, because they're full of crap. Kim was "legitimized" by meeting with a sitting US president, something his daddy wanted for years.
"North Korea said Wednesday that President Donald Trump had told Kim Jong Un that he intended to halt U.S.-South Korea military exercises and lift sanctions against the North, suggesting through its state media that Mr. Trump had explicitly acceded to two longstanding North Korean demands during bilateral talks at their summit meeting a day earlier."
That's one thing Kim needs to learn: When dealing with Trump, always have a witness. Trump's own lawyers have admitted that they needed to send two people to all meetings with him, otherwise he'd just lie about what happened.
And to think this man is the leader of the free world. Sad!
Sooo the Left is telling us that Trump lost to Kim and the results from the meeting mean nothing.
The way that the Lefty media was downplaying the significance of this meeting and giving little credit to Trump one would think that they are on the side of North Korea?
Is that accusation that much of a stretch considering how that Bill Maher, mouth piece for the Left is wishing for a recession to burst Trumps bubble of popularity.
No. People are saying there do not seem to be any actual “results” yet.

Remains to be seen if it really is a good idea. We're all in "wait and see" mode.
I agree. I don't care where the idea came from if the end result is good. Every bad person can have good ideas. Even Putin. Much ado about nothing.
