Why should we have compassion for law breakers who steal American jobs, taxes and resources? Where was their compassion for Americans?
So, if any Americans have committed crimes on our own soil (and usually held accountable for it) that should negate our immigration laws and the enforcement of them? Are you serious?
How are these illegal aliens being treated badly? Misdemeanors are not felonies but they are still crimes. Many illegal aliens have been deported and returned that's a felony. Many of them have committed felony ID theft or tax evasion. Those are both crimes. Wake up!

Truthfully, immigration is not a neat left/right issue, but the American right has been co-opted by bigots who resent what they see as the browning of America. Conservativism is being replaced by white nationalism.
Oh stop with the race card pulling it's getting old! Our main concern is that illegal immigration is against the law and has a very negative impact on our own citizens. It doesn't matter what skin color and illegal has but not our fault that most are brown though. They wouldn't be in the position they are in if they weren't guilty. It's very easy to prove if you're in this country legally or not. They're used to being slave labor by their greedy employers. Apparently they didn't care about that but now it's a problem? I don't call some light work assignments as being slave labor anyway. Better than sitting around a cell doing nothing all day long.

We have plenty of diversity via LEGAL immigration so WTH are you talking about? The melting pot is for legal immigrants and illegal aliens do not melt anyway they colonize the countries they are invading.
Yes, in the past we were a nation of immigrants.....LEGAL ones. Today we are a nation of mostly born here American citizens of all races. Geez, educate yourself and have some respect for the rule of law and why those laws are in place.

How about our children and grandchildren protect our own borders instead in the futue and likewise the adults of today? Now that wouldn't be senseless.
The folks that you should hope are never on a jury are people who have no respect for the rule of law of the United States of America, such as illegal immigrants and illegal immigrant sympathizers.
