That won't stop people from being required to testify and if they lie they'll be back in trouble.
That won't stop indictments for anything Mueller can hand over to states to pursue. Currently the Feds have first crack at people, states have to get in line.
It'll be viewed as an admission of guilt by himself.

Sounds good. Then all the state charges can be brought beyond Trump's reach and we can find out what's really happening.
There is nothing Trump can possibly do at this point to stop this investigation unless he figures out a way to disband the entire Judicial Branch of the Federal Government. If he was innocent, he wouldn't want to.
Even those who absolutely hate Trump should be cautious and concerned about this action. A political witch hunt on a specific politician has now evolved into an FBI raid on that politician’s attorney. Remember when an independent investigator was performing a political witch hunt on Clinton? Imagine the outrage if during the investigation FBI raided the Clinton’s personal attorney’s offices. There’s the potential of violating attorney/client privilege as well as being a dirt digging expedition to pass onto his political enemies for mud slinging for the upcoming election. Considering the recent FBI’s clear partisan actions during and after the election they should be walking on eggshells to avoid even the appearance of partisan actions.
No prob. Trump is innocent, and all the FBI got was probably dry cleaning tickets, Big Mac wrappers, and a wastebasket full of scratch off tickets with no winning numbers. It'll all blow over in a day or two.
The one specific matter in the initial NYTimes report was Stormy. Why is Mueller even connected to StormyTrump/Cohen. That matter has zero relationship to the Russian interference investigation and didn't arise from that investigation.
Because the money paid to Stormy could be connected to illegal campaign contributions. Also, they are looking at bank fraud regarding Cohen. The bank initially is the one that red-flagged the $130K payment. So they're trying to see what the connection is, as Mueller has a lot of leeway in pursuing where the investigation may go.

There is zero evidence of any illegal campaign contributions and they wouldn't have anything to do with with a corporation specifically set up to make this one payment, and the funds that came from Cohen personally. Obviously it isn't campaign money.

If he paid her to protect Trump's campaign, it could be construed as a campaign contribution far above the legal limit. People have gone to jail before for such violations.
The other side is, if Trump didn't know about the payment, he couldn't have known about the NDA, which means it's null and void. Stormy can post his nude pics now.
