That won't stop people from being required to testify and if they lie they'll be back in trouble.

That won't stop indictments for anything Mueller can hand over to states to pursue. Currently the Feds have first crack at people, states have to get in line.

It'll be viewed as an admission of guilt by himself.

Sounds good. Then all the state charges can be brought beyond Trump's reach and we can find out what's really happening.

There is nothing Trump can possibly do at this point to stop this investigation unless he figures out a way to disband the entire Judicial Branch of the Federal Government. If he was innocent, he wouldn't want to.

No prob. Trump is innocent, and all the FBI got was probably dry cleaning tickets, Big Mac wrappers, and a wastebasket full of scratch off tickets with no winning numbers. It'll all blow over in a day or two.

Relax.

Because the money paid to Stormy could be connected to illegal campaign contributions. Also, they are looking at bank fraud regarding Cohen. The bank initially is the one that red-flagged the $130K payment. So they're trying to see what the connection is, as Mueller has a lot of leeway in pursuing where the investigation may go.

Let's get back to analysis...

If Trump did not know about the NDA Cohen prepared for Stormy's signature how could it be subject to attorney-client privilege???

Suppose that Trump knew what was going on but has renounced knowledge, has he also renounced attorney-client privilege?

Inquiring minds want to know....

Banks flag all transactions over 10K any idiot knows that.

There is zero evidence of any illegal campaign contributions and they wouldn't have anything to do with with a corporation specifically set up to make this one payment, and the funds that came from Cohen personally. Obviously it isn't campaign money.

I don't think they flag all of them over $10k. Only when actual cash money is involved. Does that mean only idiots think ALL transactions over $10k are flagged?

Are you sure about that?

"Republican election law expert Trevor Potter said the payout potentially represented an “illegal, in-kind contribution.” Potter served as chairman of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) under George H.W. Bush.

"In February, Cohen told The New York Times that he paid Daniels with his own money. The payment was made through a shell company called Essential Consultants LLC.

“It’s a $130,000 in-kind contribution by Cohen to the Trump campaign, which is about $126,500 above what he's allowed to give,” Potter said. “If he does this on behalf of his client, the candidate, that is a coordinated, illegal, in-kind contribution by Cohen for the purpose of influencing the election"

If he paid her to protect Trump's campaign, it could be construed as a campaign contribution far above the legal limit. People have gone to jail before for such violations.

The other side is, if Trump didn't know about the payment, he couldn't have known about the NDA, which means it's null and void. Stormy can post his nude pics now.
