Yep, it's a whole lot easier to get into a war than it is to get out of one. Two wars? Even harder. We should have been out of Afcrapistan after they held their first "free" election in 2005. Never should have gone into Iraq in the first place.
And yes, all those lives lost/ruined have been for nothing in America's national interest.
But Obama did illegally bomb Libya, did illegally meddle in Ukraine, and did murder thousands with drone strikes in 7 countries--including an American teenager.
I agree but my point is why should we expect Trump to be different than Obama or Bush? Now granted, many voted for Trump as a venue for change, they aren't getting it but people voted for Obama for the same reason and didn't get it either.
Well, tRump has certainly continued Dubya's quagmires and re-inserted us into Iraq in a smaller way. So, he's doing as his predecessors did in that respect.
But neither started a war as a distraction from personal criminal difficulties. And that seems to be exactly his motivation for widening US involvement and risking escalation with Russia and Iran. Neither Bush nor Obama did anything of the sort.
Syria has been a Russian client state since the 1950s. Let Putin try to sort it out and get bogged down in the unwinnable quagmire.
If it was up to me (and maybe you also) the US would let those savages in the ME kill each other off w/o any assistance from America. They've been doing a good job of it for millennia and it's clear they have no intention of quitting.
Not our fight.
It must be their bizarre form of entertainment, because they make no effort to end it.
Get out and let 'em have at it.
besides Israel, Syria is the last place with a Christian presents, in the Middle East & N. Africa.

This idea that we weren't involved in Iraq when Trump took office is false. Obama did pull many troops. That was good. It was also Obama that decided to put them back also.

No one has argued a valid criminal angle yet and I believe starting wars for Wall Street is criminal.

It’s fine if you believe they are savages but don’t forget our government has been funding radical Islamist groups in the ME since the 50s to destabilize secular nationalist governments that would nationalize their oil fields and keep them from US multinationals hands (see Iran, Egypt, Syria, more).

The CIA and the MI6 overthrowing Mosaddegh (Operation Ajax) was one of the stupidest things this country has ever done. Dude was secular and Iran was on its way to becoming an advanced country with an advanced economy.
Isn't this an example of the media arguing against war? Tucker is a pretty big media name. I have no idea who this other guy is. He is a real dick whoever he is.
The other guy is Noah Rothman of Commentary, which was founded by the American Jewish Committee and long edited by Norman Podhoretz, the man who invented neo-conservatism. He represents the views of the people who sold George W. Bush on the Afghanistan and Iraq wars and continue to push for increased use of American military power against the perceived enemies of Israel.

Thanks, that does help explain the foolishness coming out of his mouth.
