I have read and heard that one of the strongest voices for removing Comey was Jared Kushner...
Steve Bannon reportedly was one of the people inside the WH who reported Kushner was pushing Trump to make that call and he finally did
Does anyone have a theory as to why Kushner vs someone like say Stephen Miller or Flynn who was already out the door and paying the price for the FBI investigation were not pushing for Comey's firing?
What could Kushner been so afraid of having exposed--
Trump being compromised by involvement in Russian hacking??
Maybe Kushner was already so involved in dirty tricks, dirty money and he was really afraid the FBI would uncover his guilt--
We really haven't heard much about Kushner's role or culpability in CA/FB/hacking
Or the back door communications Kushner tried to set up through the Russian embassy hasn't really been in the news recently

True, Trump cant even hold up under investigations from his OWN party.
I think that the FBI will look at any existing Cohen recordings very carefully, And likely turn them over to the NSA to have them authenticated for the very reason you described.
1--I don't think there is anything in Comey's book that is a big surprise
