You really think that it ends with McCabe "getting fired" ...... even McCabe doesn't believe that, which is why he went "begging for dollars" for his Criminal Defense.
At some point -- the rule of LAW has to apply to these Bureaucrats that really believe they are above the LAW.
This is the time. Do the Crime, pay with Time AND a nice big FINE.
The FBI and the DOJ can't control any of their people if they let them get away with this stuff.
It looks like McCabe lied to Comey, other FBI agents, and to the IG.
He was already fired a while ago for these reasons (before the report was released).

WHEN he was fired a lot of libs complained about "no facts" to back it up", It is all accusations", etc.
NOW the IG report is out, which document the reasons he was fired.
If I'm reading the reports correctly, he was less than truthful about releasing that Clinton emails were under investigation right before the election? And Trumpsters want to crucify him for what handed their Daddy the election, this is their big coup? Also, Sessions claiming anyone else lacked candor while under oath is quite rich?

Interesting - CNN & Politico have nothing on their home page about this report.
I haven't checked the rest - The Hill has it as a headline, zilch for The Atlantic, NBC & ABC.
CBS has it, but not a headline - it's still all about Trump's Lawyer and Porn Stars.
These folks live in the Twilight Zone, their own little Safe Space.
I think most reasonable people feel just like you do. This is not the big IG report, it's the first chapter of the report essentially. It's a dull read, full of FBI acronyms & legalese. All it does is put to bed the narrative that McCabe was unjustly fired or somehow mistreated.
I actually think he's lucky to be walking away from this with only a dismissal. Michael Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI (the FBI says they don't believe he lied though) and he lost his house, plus is looking at actual prison time, for the same crime McCabe gets to walk away from.
I feel bad for the suckers who donated half a million dollars to his legal defense team though, they've been had.

The report goes to the AG and it is up to his office to do the charge filing.
I don't do the New York Times ..... EVER. The only paywall I do is WSJ.
As for the rest - when I check each of them - I reported exactly what was on their home page.
I guess it's just an "optics Nothing Burger".
On the other hand - Andy did well to sucker people out of a Half Million dollars & that's NOT a nothing burger or "optics". A Half Million, free and clear for a Criminal - not bad, but also not a surprise for a Leftist.
Those home pages change often - you might have just missed it.
Point is -- we all heard about it -- it wasn't 'hidden' by anybody.
