Using opioid based drugs, that were first developed for terminal patients, being prescribed for "pain relief" is pure evil, imo. So, yes I say to your question.

Is the tobacco industry in the same league? No, not by a long shot. If so, the same claim could be aimed at the use of caffeine in coffee and cola; see the rabbit hole here?

History shows Humans have always yearned for, and found ways to alter our state of mind. There needs to be a common sense approach toward what is acceptable, and what is extreme.

Opioids steal souls; whereas cannabinoids sooth them. There should be a strict distinction between those FACTS.

BTW, I use cannabis. I do not use it to "escape". That is something you will NEVER understand, because you can't see through all your hate for "stoners".
Why do you use it? Why do you feel the need to use it?

The answer is obvious; to get stoned. By the way, buzzed is stoned.

Nope, incorrect.

No matter the reason, why should they go to jail for it just because your religion says it's "sin?" We aren't a theocracy.

Did I inject religion? No, you ASSumed.

We don’t need another intoxicant legalized, especially one that can lead to psychosis.

Cannabis has many uses, but if someone wants to get stoned, that's their choice. It is a non addictive means of feeling good, as opposed to the choice of using alcohol, which has proven it can be addictive, and it also kills and maims thousands in car accidents and the loss of self control when combined with firearms.

You don't reserve the same enmity for casual drinkers, but you do for marijuana users, because you simply don't understand what you're talking about.

Who owns your body? You, or the State?

You really think the State has the authority to violate an individuals sovereign right to self-ownership?

If you think the State has the right to regulate what individuals do to their own bodies, you are flat-out saying that we are all slaves. Period, end of story.

There is no flip flop. This is exactly what Trump said on the campaign trail.
