Because if you want to understand at least some of the resentment and anger in the Muslim-majority countries of the Middle East, try imagining if the shoe was on the other foot. How would you feel?

It's already close. We're a puppet government largely controlled by multinational corporations.

And those same corporations largely control most other governments in the world, as well.

Freedoms for me, but not for thee...

Well yeah, you need money to buy something, and the more money you have the more you can buy. That’s just basic common sense.

What do you mean "if?"

The U.S. has been a puppet regime since 1913 and has been controlled by a certain Middle Eastern country since 1967.

How would you feel if the US government was a dictatorship/puppet regime sponsored by foreign powers?

I'd feel like it was 1995 all over again, with President Bill Clinton accepting foreign campaign cash from John Huang and James Riady, and paying back by steering business Huang's way and shutting down our best coal reserves via an Executive Order on Escalante so that Riady's Indonesian coal mines could gain a monopoly on high-quality coal.

(Collusion, anybody?)
