They post something fake on the front page, and make the correction on page 22 of the Lifestyle section 2 days later. Then everyone talks about the fake news as fact from then on, never knowing it was corrected.
Try answering my question instead of deflecting with garbage.

While I don't agree with anything Jones has to say about Sandy Hook, I think its a shame that he has lost his way because he was definitely one of the first to legitimately expose what was (and still is) going on with the whole Bilderberg conspiracy. Not sure how/when/why he lost his way so badly, other than the obvious financial motif.

Where in the Constitution does it say anyone can say anything without consequences?

So, when a newspaper prints "John Doe, husband of Mary Doe, dead at 85" and finds that it was, in fact, Joe Doe that died, they can print a correction. You can't go after these families the way Alex Jones has and compare that. So, making "corrections" isn't the same as realizing you've been caught saying something that could have legal consequences & backtracking.

One reaps what one sows.
Exactly. CNN has edited articles and even pulled some when they double sourced and found conflicting information to the original. Remember that CNN Health article from about this time last year. The difference with what Alex Jones did was he Harper on it for years and now only because he faced lawsuits, he backs off. He isn't sorry, he is sorry his ass got caught in the conspiracy theory lie.

Funny how the right loves to trot out the First Amendment when regular citizens want to exercise their own rights against hate speech. Alex Jones has no greater rights than the parents of the murdered children whose death he denies.
If you're saying what Alex Jones said is hate speech, you'd be wrong.

This is great advice!

I just scroll on by, but yes the ignore list can be quite handy!

Your understanding of press credentials, retractions/corrections and freedom of the press is SORELY limited.

Your analogy is terrible. Its flawed. Has no basis in reality.

You can't just write something, call it news then say oops fake news. That's not how it works. Its CLEAR you haven't been within 100 yards of a newsroom EVER.

If CNN libels someone, they are subject to the same treatment.

There is nothing that says a journalist can say whatever they want as long as they make a correction. There are different reasons for what is said--it could be based on bad information, it could be an error in transcribing a name or quote, it could be an unverified report, or it could be vile garbage spewed from a vile garbage machine. Those all would be treated differently. Guess which one doesn't have the shadow of a hope of being a good defense?

I don't think "licensed News Media Corporation" is a thing. Go ahead, Google it.

So, you contend that Alex Jones/InfoWars is a legitimate news organization? I hope they say that, too. I really, really do.
You are absolutely right.

Years ago one of the local papers was sued because of the way a headline was worded. The publisher settled because the publisher knew they wouldn't win.

And this is over a headline. Not years and years worth of lies, scams, etc. directed at the parents of dead children.

Except that this isn't about a publication printing something that they later have to retract. This is about a sustained smear campaign that has lasted for years. Two completely different things, as Jones is about to find out. He can't "correct" something and think all those years of smears just go away.

Keep dreaming.

Less than one year and he corrected it.
You think MSM who wants to destroy him, will let you see that?
You won't go to the INFOwars site to see for yourself.

You have to be told.

Answer me this. How does CNN, WaPo, NY Times, Media Matters, Huffington Post, get away with slander and libel in their fake news reporting?

I will tell you. They correct the mistake to meet their legal obligations.
INFOwars corrected the article a long time ago. It was not something just recent, because he is getting sued.
You think MSM is going to let you know that? They hate Alex as much as you. He gets to say things they cannot, or lose their sponsors.
MSM wants control of the narrative back.
