Rape Me was an anti-rape song. But, people did not get it then and they would not get it now.

It was written to be controversial and I doubt he would have written it differently now because it's pretty clear that he didn't care what other people thought of his music.

Now, there are people who'd be offended at a white band singing it, though.

People have been angry about The Stones and Brown Sugar for years already.

When Walter Williams of the Ojays, in "Family Reunion," instructs that the mothers "do the cooking, raise the children, do the sewing," do people think that is politically incorrect, today.....?

People are such wussies these days. It's extremely embarrassing but hilarious at the same time to witness. It's like watching adults revert back to toddlers.

20 politically incorrect songs that’d be wildly controversial today
According to two people? Who don't know the definition of "politically incorrect", or who cannot recognize irony as social commentary, to boot?

  • Island Girl by Elton John, 1975
  • Rape Me by Nirvana, 1993

  • Age Ain't Nothing But a Number by Aaliyah, 1994

Turning Japanese is a slang reference to masturbation.

I couldn't help but notice that White Punks On Dope by The Tubes didn't make the list.

But, it's alright, since the PC-nutters will get what's coming to them in due course.

Listen to that song carefully next time you hear it; it's pretty blatant and I'm surprised it still gets played.
One of my favorite versions of that song is the remake aired on "Glee" with two male singers (both gay in the show, one gay and one straight IRL). It's done very charmingly.

Anyway, I wonder if one day anyone will object to the offensive lyrics in current rap and hip hop "songs".

I thought that was obvious. What did they think it meant?

Then there was Date Rape by Sublime. Also an anti rape song.

Interesting, I'd like to add the following:

Anything by Adele
Anything that Gwen Stefani has done (especially that god-awful 'Hollaback Girl')
Anything by Shawn Mendes and artists like him (waahh I'm 16 and the girl I like doesn't like me, feel sorry for me)
"You Get What You Give" by New Radicals
"Umbrella" (ella ella ella ella ella eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh) by Rihanna
"Exs and Ohs" by Rob Schinders daughter (don't remember her name nor do I care)
"All About that Bass" by don't remember nor care
That Zombie Nation song that drunk 20 y/os at sporting events love
A good majority of Billboards Hot 100 for this decade

Also, the word 'Woke'.

These are offensive to my eardrums and I wish to not be subjected to them anymore, thank you
