"But if Haley allows herself to be upended by Trump and his lieutenants over chemical-weapons-related sanctions, she will be seen as a paper tiger and, worse, a stooge of the Russia-loving President and, indeed, of the Kremlin itself. Already, Haley has shown that she is not a pushover. But one tweet is not enough. Now is the time for Haley to do the hard thing—but the right thing for the country and for herself: Get out and show that America still has leaders whose outrage at the slaughter of innocents will not be silenced. Get out before her very bright future is sullied by the Trump Taint. Of course, it will be hard for Haley to give up her post and her bully pulpit, but in the space of 16 months, she has burnished her executive skills and added foreign policy chops. She can walk away to a think tank, a foundation or an academic post with her head held high while she bides her time and considers her next moves—one of which should be introducing herself to more of America."
The last thing this country needs is another neocon warmonger running for President.

In Republican circles, she is a favorite of neoconservatives and national security hawks like Senators John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, but viewed skeptically by the more isolationist wing that sees Mr. Trump as a champion. Among Democrats, she has respect from those who see her as a voice of reason and scorn from others who see her as overly combative.
“Nikki Haley is a neocon in her view,” said Representative Ro Khanna, Democrat of California. “Basically, she’s a parrot for the McCain-Lindsey Graham worldview of ‘Let’s go bomb Iran, let’s go fight another cold war with Russia, let’s go use force around the world.’”
My goodness, does Nikki Haley ever appear in her element when speaking of War and punishment. So much so the Trump admin must have decided to clips the wings of this War hawk, too caught up in her own megalomania to be effective in her role at the UN. That says something when Trump has to rein in the runaway battleaxe that is Nikki Haley.
