We gave them more than just powder and ball. We gave them a good ass kicking and gathered up their guns for us.

We couldn't have won without the help of the Hessians and the French driven by the desire (especially the French) of breaking up the British Empire in North America.

Two-thirds of the colonists were either goddamned committed Englishmen or they didn't give a fig.

Which is the best way to live is at the very center of this horrible and important conflict.

Not only quite true and well said, and kind of disturbing on how close the current political climate is today in this country.

You can't be that naïve, just look at the previous marches by the school students in march about firearms, and look at the marches planned in the upcoming weeks to ban or highly restrict firearms from the civilian population.

After the Parkland shooting there has been a renewed interest in gun control, this happens after ever mass shooting, but this is the first time large scale marches occurred as a result.

I am not even saying that these marches are wrong, but there is a definite renewed interest in restricting if not outright banning firearm ownership from civilians. And that is the biggest part of the problem, many millions of people in this country will not give up their firearms with out bloodshed.

I don't want a war, but if this very topic goes too far, a civil war is just what you will have your hands on.

The constant threats of civil war are getting old. The REAL irony of them though? They're often made by people who cheer on military spending. Apparently unable to comprehend that increased military spending makes the seizure of their guns MORE likely. They often have this fantasy that the military will be with them. They wont be.

Get military spending back to defensive levels or taking your guns will become trivial.

Necessary as part of a well-regulated militia.
