There are many people in the GOP inner circle who have negative views and experiences with Barbara Bush--
She had an extremely caustic wit, had her husband's ear throughout his political career even if she was not as visible at policy making like HRC or say Nancy Reagan
Many people refuse to comment on her even after her husband left office because she apparently was vengeful...they didn't want to thwart her and cause **** to rain down on their heads...
Roger Stone likely caught the sharp edge of her tongue more than once--
He was around Reagan's admin when her husband was the VP and then as President
Stone, like Manafort, was lobbyist for some shady characters in foreign governments and probably got Bush into trouble during those years in various ways--

Stone likely knows Barbara Bush as well as anyone who has spent all his adult life in GOP politics...and we have all seen that he pops off at the mouth

meanwhile, a heartbroken George H. W. Bush, Barbara's husband of 73 years and her high school sweetheart, surprises mourners by sitting next to Barbara's coffin to greet the thousands who lined up to pay their respects to the former First Lady.

Barbara Bush and Roger Stone were about the most combustible pair of personalities I can imagine.

Of the pair, I'm sure Barbara had a shaper tongue than Stone, and that's something Stone would despise. It's no surprise to me that Stone would speak ill of the dead; that's just his style. But Barbara Bush would not have done the same. She might have been hard, but she understood civility, and civility is alien to Roger Stone.
