Who says they do? Perhaps this particular student plans to make a living doing carpentry. She built the thing as part of her project. Perhaps she plans to teach, or any number of other things. I sincerely doubt she intends to spend her entire career constructing "Cry Closets." But if she could, why would it matter to you? Are you perhaps jealous? Maybe you are a stifled artist at heart, and the idea of another living a successful life being true to her art just kills you?

Art majors often end up in advertising, interior design, and various other fields. When you walk through a city park or watch an animated film or look at a brochure, someone with an artistic background designed it. I think you’d be surprised at how much art you see in your daily life that you never thought twice about.
