What the heck does a dysfunctional collection of self-promoting shysters need a chaplain for?

Anyone?

Maybe Ryan doesn't like a message of, or prayer for togetherness.

No wonder Ryan fired him. In that prayer quoted, the Chaplain asked for the upcoming tax legislation to be balanced and equal in its benefits, for all Americans. That goes directly against the credo of the Republican Party, which is opposed to balance and equality in the benefits of our country.

I think you do a "whipped dog" a disservice--
Ryan looks too smug to be a whipped dog...

McConnell and Ryan will go down in history as two men who by their actions and their INACTIONS allowed the Republican Party to self destruct.
Neither one of them did anything to call the Tea Party group's bluff
They screwed over the Constitution and the ethic rules of their respective houses--
Their heritage will be tarnished as long as political history is studied...
Unfortunately neither one has a moral compass and the people of America---GOP and Democratic and undeclared---are much the worse for their time in power...

I'm just surprised they had a chaplain. I assumed they were all Satanists

There are no rich Democrats. They give all their money to charity.

Conroy probably didn't believe that Jesus had a dinosaur for a pet

His parish priest should counsel with him and rebuke him for his anti-Christian behavior...and for his vengeance at being embarassed by the Chaplain...

And as far as not knowing--
We know
Ryan just won't admit why he did it because he is a weasel...a blood-sucking weasel...
Mr. Ryan is a libertarian legislator lapdog ~ i.e. a free market fundamentalist ~ who is currently contemplating a religious conversion to libertarian lobbyist lapdog ~ while remaining faithful to the free market fundamentalist schtick.

It's nauseating.

Congress needs a chaplain to pray for the protection of their elitist status and personal wealth.

He was fired for acting like a Christian. Ryan and the GOP got no time for someone that actually attempts to put the words of Jesus into action with a genuine concern for someone that isn't a wealthy donor or lobbyist.

Could not get beyond the Paywall.

Here’s another link.

Paul Ryan forces out House priest because he 'aligned with Democrats': report | Fox News

Reportedly, there is concern on both sides of the aisle.

He offered a prayer for the tax cut vote on the House Floor vs he invited a Muslim to lead prayer vs unknown.

Why the hell-o does the House of Representatives need a chaplain?
