Lots of speculation here. Don't suppose we'll ever get the truth.

What an inane response. The article says he won't give a reason. Are you saying the chaplain was not really fired? Or are you saying Ryan did give a reason and WaPo did not report it?

From link:

“As you have requested, I hereby offer my resignation as the 60th chaplain of the United States House of Representatives,” Conroy wrote to Ryan on April 16.

Mr. Ryan requested his resignation. Was he 'requested' to sign a NDA as well?

Sheeesh.

The funny thing is, even as a liberal, I didn't think Paul Ryan was that bad back in the day. He's showed himself to be a spineless joke of a "leader". Good riddance.

For those that don't want a paywall:

Quote:
"May all Members be mindful that the institutions and structures of our great Nation guarantee the opportunities that have allowed some to achieve great success, while others continue to struggle," Conroy said at the time. "May their efforts these days guarantee that there are not winners and losers under new tax laws, but benefits balanced and shared by all Americans."
Maybe Ryan doesn't like a message of, or prayer for togetherness.

Ryan was outraged by the man’s message of Christian humility and charity. He may as well have been a damn socialist!

Paul Ryan is not a practicing Christian--he is really a classic example of a Pharisee, a true hypocrite who flaunts his religious aura and has no commitment to the principles Jesus espoused and practiced...

https://www.gotquestions.org/scribes-and-Pharisees.html

His parish priest should counsel with him and rebuke him for his anti-Christian behavior...and for his vengeance at being embarassed by the Chaplain...

And as far as not knowing--
We know
Ryan just won't admit why he did it because he is a weasel...a blood-sucking weasel...

They need more than a chaplain. It’s doubtful Jesus could save them at this point.

There are some people who just have weasel written all over them, Paul Ryan fits that description perfectly. He is a gutless, dishonest, butt kisser of the 1st degree. He has let Trump run all over him and his party, and he stands there, smiling like a whipped dog.
