I like Toyota vehicles but I’m NOT buying anything made in Mississippi. I might as well buy a car made in Bangladesh.

But let's face it. This kind of news would be a dime a dozen in blue states. Heck, it wouldn't even be news. Take Chicago, the favorite right-wing punching bag; that city gets jobs like this almost on a monthly basis. And they get those cushy professional high-paying jobs.

Of course.

Reason is employees are paid low wages and are poorly trained. It’s Mississippi-they’re last on everything.

They’re going to assemble the Toyota Corolla over there. Yuck

I worked as summer help on a GM assembly line in 1978 and made $12 per hour.

And how much did the state of Mississippi kick in to get Toyota there? You know, corporate welfare?

Being a right to work state is not necessarily a great thing. Unions benefit many people. I don’t know why the South is so against them. I guess it’s because the South was built on slave wages then low wages. They are used to working for less....
