I think you might be projecting here.

Like Trump is? When he said Obama "could be" form Kenya and he "had seen evidence" that Obama was born in Kenya, and that the governor of Hawaii "faked" the birth certificate?

Or when he accused Obama of a federal crime, or when he ...

The list goes on of Trump's false accusations. Just read that Stormy Daniels may be suing him for slander.

I served 8 years in the Navy and drank excessively after Desert Storm. Gave up drinking in 1996. Never once did I drive after having a drink. I took a cab or bus to the bar and placed bus or cab fare in my sock to get back from the bar. If drinking at home, I stayed home until the next day. I lost a cousin and classmate in the same accident because cousin was driving drunk. I have several alcoholic uncles who managed to survive their drunk driving accidents hurting them and their family. Those are the reasons why I never drove under the influence.

Reportedly the Trump Admin does little to no vetting before Trump nominates someone.

Once it hit the fan, Trump publicly encouraged the doctor to withdraw.

Then Trump has another temper tantrum on Twitter, blaming Democrats.

Not a single Democrat vote is necessary to confirm an appointment.

Maybe it was an SUV, which isn't a car.

Well I know you’re 100% wrong. I never did and neither has my son. In fact there a few college kids that don’t drink period..

It will be very telling if he stays on as Trump's personal doctor.

Yesterday the news stated he's still on staff with the WH medical team, but as of yesterday he was not acting as Trump's doctor. Another doctor was the tempy doctor for Trump.
