This is the point. If Bill Cosby can be put on trial, why aren't we putting Carolyn Bryant on trial?
from 'the Guardian' -
"The case was reopened by the FBI in 2004 to see if any accomplices could be brought to justice. But in 2007, a grand jury decided there was insufficient evidence to bring charges."

Cosby is a black man, and he is also a black man who was preaching that other black men need to take responsibility for their own actions and stop blaming society for their problems. He stepped off the plantation. He was also trying to stage a comeback in his career. All of this came in to play to varying degrees.

I believe that perjury had a statute of limitations that ran out decades ago.

Sure, that's what she'll say - in fact, it's what she's saying now.

So what? Why is she not being called to account on it?

I will say that it's quite possible that the original case was handled so poorly that it wouldn't surprise me that any actual evidence that was collected has been "lost" - deliberately or otherwise - since then.

Correction: That lie cost a child his life.

Normally, it's rare for me to make a thread like this, but this is just nuts. Yes, Bill Cosby did what he did. However, It is absurd that Carolyn Bryant, who admitted that she lied about what happened with Emmet Till, isn't facing a judge. Criminal behavior. And there is no statue of limitations on murder.
No nexus, what's the point of your absurd post.

Till was dead before she lied on the witness stand. Those lies did not cost Till his life.
