Trump's tariffs announcement: A timeline

Harley's sales have been down for last four years. They announced the closing of a plant in Kansas City before the tariffs were even a thing. Not to mention that they've opened plants in India, Brazil, and China in recent years. I'm sure the tariffs aren't helping the situation, but as I said, Harley has been in decline for some time now.

Oh, and they were already planning to open a plant in Thailand far before any tariffs were mentioned.

Not trying to rain on you guy's parade or anything, I know what this thread is about. But honestly, everything can't be blamed on Trump. This company has been making moves overseas and suffering from declining profits in the US for quite some time. The tariffs may be having some effect on Harley, but they've been bleeding for a while now.
Lets put it this way. Trumps actions are not helping manufacturing. They are not helping exports. They are not helping American jobs.

Promise to turn things around for HD, and manufacturing in general, does not seem to be working out.

"They came in to see me last week they said we would like to hire 5,000 more judges, 5,000 you ever heard of a thing like that? Where do you find 5,000 people to be judges?" "We cannot allow all of these people to invade our country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no judges or court cases, bring them back from where they came... You know they want to hire now 5,000 more judges. So that a person puts a toe on the land, we have to go to trial. This is crazy what we're doing” Donald Trump

No one has found any policy or proposal that suggests adding 5,000 judges. The closest thing anyone can figure out is maybe Republican Ted Cruz from Texas suggested adding 375 judges.

Leader of Club for Growth lying away today. He was one of those who supported the liar in chief.

Still pushing the tax cuts will pay for themselves. What a joke.

Last week was absolutely bonkers for Trump lying. He was averaging 101 false claims per *month*; he just did 103 in a week. His previous record was 60 false claims in a week.

Right, he is just defensive and yelling out insults over anything oppositional or an imagined slight...always the same. Then when he otherwise has to stand at a podium "acting as a president" , he attempts reading information written for him, while squinting to see the TelePrompTer. He wouldn't dare wear glasses, since he is so self-absorbed and appearance conscious, which in his mind, would make him "appear unattractive" ( ) or "weak", something he despises.

So which persona is the real deal? Looks like blustery, obnoxious Mr. Rally-man is the one he gets off on presenting naturally and persists on being him whenever he possibly can be, the other mode having to fake. And that monotone-sounding voice, that you notice, is not like that when in "stand-up" mode.
