Can the truth keep up with this relentless onslaught of lies?

I think he's gone 'full Orwellian'. Fr'instance, the prevalence of 'duck speakers' in his administration:

Quote:
Duckspeak

Duckspeak is a Newspeak term that means "to quack like a duck" (literal meaning) or "to speak without thinking". Duckspeak can be good or "ungood" (bad) depending on who is speaking, and whether what they are saying aligns with Big Brother's ideals. To speak rubbish and lies may be "ungood", but to do so for the benefit of The Party may be good. Orwell explains in the appendix: "Ultimately it was hoped to make articulate speech issue from the larynx without involving the higher brain centres at all. This aim was frankly admitted in the Newspeak word duckspeak […]. Like various words in the B vocabulary, duckspeak was ambivalent in meaning. Provided that the opinions which were quacked out were orthodox ones, it implied nothing but praise, and when the Times referred to one of the orators of the Party as a doubleplusgood duckspeaker it was paying a warm and valued compliment."

An example of duckspeak in action is provided in chapter 9, when an Inner Party speaker is haranguing the crowd about the crimes of Eurasia when a note is passed into his hand. He never stops speaking or changes his inflection, but (according to the changed Party position) he now condemns the crimes of Eastasia, which is Oceania's new enemy.

Mr. Trump's press secretaries ( how many is it now? ) notably skipped the ethics orientation ( apparently 'above it all' ) however were very likely trained to be "doubleplusgood duckspeakers".

Well, this is what his presidency is all about. It has no other purpose for the man.

No, the truth can't keep up with the lies. For every lie he utters, a much greater effort is required to get the truth out.

Trump seems to be using a Soviet style propaganda technique called "firehose of falsehoods." Vlad probably gave him some tips in their mysterious 2 hour meeting.

You can forget any idea that the people working for Trump have a clue what this is all about
Even though many of them went to decent colleges, I think they failed the real test of a good education--
Learning to think for themselves
There is no way ANYONE who thinks for themselves can reconcile Trump's manipulation of factual events into his propaganda statements...but they don't care....they just absolutely don't care
This is the classic case of their thinking the ends justify the means--
Whatever the "ends" might be in one particular nano moment and the "means" they are to achieve...

Was watching clip of Pompeo yesterday---
His "never fear, never fear, never fear" comment was designed to make my skin crawl
This is a man who was graduated TOP OF HIS CLASS at West Point--
That has to mean something as to intelligence and honesty...
How he can pander for Trump's agenda just leaves me so sad---
My husband said his "evangelical" bent is what links him to Trump's power but I can't believe that for a military man with his credential that God trumps country...
I. Just. Don't. Get. It.

Trying to make sense of this flood of falsehoods is exactly like drinking from a firehose.

Perfect analogy.

The White House has made the call -- they've decided to take Trump to Andrews via car today instead of helicopter, citing "bad weather."

Meanwhile....

Yep. I can almost see Andrews from my apartment across the river. And the weather today is fine. I hope Trump gets stuck in traffic on the Suitland Parkway.
