I never knew a hammer could be used for the purpose of production though. I simply like to have sex with them.

There is no political machinery, but there is production.

If a factory is producing a needed (first layer of Maslow's hierarchy of needs) good for the community an individual can help or not help, but they can't stop them from their work.

Similarly the union can't stop the solitary man from doing what he's doing.
