Northeast Ohio I should say. Southern Ohio is a whole different world.
I grew up in southwestern Ohio, and we generally said "you guys," too, but I agree that Western Reserve and Bounty Lands culture are very different. Ohio has a fascinating settlement history, and if you're looking for it, the signs are very obvious.

We sometimes say to our adult daughters, "Hey, you guys, want to go out to eat"? So what? We are from New Yawk.
That's funny. There was a discussion here about this a few months back. Some people in other parts of the country said they also use 'guy's' when addressing groups of both genders, but others found it offensive. To them, I say this: you guys need to lighten up!
I'm not from Chicago, although I lived there briefly, but I've never found it offensive.
Maybe Religiously conservative people like Muslims or Fundamentalist Christians, but having 105 different sexual identities to most normal people is how do you say? Ridiculous
