Seems like many Western cities are turning into total messes despite all the big debt that has been issued for fancy materialistic flashy projects and gentrification that the liberals worship.
Denver had only 5 homicides from January to April in 2009, this year already 27 which is massive increase.
Love how liberals claim Denver has never been better because it is expensive and lots more fancy restaurants and bars but overall the quality of life there has plummeted. Huge increases in most things bad over the years.
Los Angeles, Denver, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Las Vegas and San Francisco seem to be having an overall huge decline in the conditions in their cities despite the so called great economy.
Homeless camps widespread in LA, huge increases in crime and homeless in Albuquerque and Denver, poop and hyperdermic needles widespread in San Francisco.
Denver and Albuquerque both have liberal Democratic leadership and are dealing with massive skyrocketing homicide and homeless rates.
Denver has spent billions and billions on fancy materialistic projects in the city but yet the homelessness is skyrocketing and homicides are way up already near the total number in 2000 and 2010.
Stunning that both Albuquerque and Denver are already near the total of homicides they have seen in years past.
Already, up to 27 homicides just 4 months into the year.
Denver only had 33 homicides in 2010 and in the bad old days in 2000 it had only 32.
This was in the bad old days when the city had lots of single-room occupancy motels and when it still was a gritty western town.
The liberals running the city has spent billions, billions and billions on fancy materialistic flashy projects but yet the city is having massive surge in crime and tremendous amounts of homelessness.
The shelters are so overwhelmed with homeless families that there are mothers with 6 kids living in their car.
Denver has seen some huge increases since the legalization of recreational marijuana, very lax enforcement of laws on the books and ignoring quality of life issues.
Albuquerque is also dealing with skyrocketing homelessness and homicides.
Already, 27 homicides this year when only four years ago in 2014 the total for the year was 30
Not much new here. The elite left has always been for helping the poor... except when they are underfoot or solutions might decline the value of their homes.
The soaring real estate in many cities named is having a huge impact. Even the 60K to 90K a year people are getting nuked by housing costs. It has to be outside money coming in. Local incomes do not support the prices in many areas.
I live in NJ and would kill to get back to "flyover country" Im over 50 and it would be irresponsible of me to risk the welfare of my family and their health insurance. I have two relatively stable jobs here. I find people who pontificate they work 50 hours a week... amusing.
Seems like many Western cities are turning into total messes ... ... [rest of drivel deleted]
Denver and Albuquerque are NOT "total messes". Millions of happy people safely live in both cities.
Give it a rest.
