John Kerry’s bid to save one of his most significant accomplishments as secretary of state took him to New York on a Sunday afternoon two weeks ago, where, more than a year after he left office, he engaged in some unusual shadow diplomacy with a top-ranking Iranian official.

He sat down at the United Nations with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving the pact limiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program. It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging a deal they spent years negotiating during the Obama administration, according to a person briefed on the meetings.

That's not your job anymore Mr. Kerry!

Not the first time Dems have interfered for nefarious purposes. Senator Rockefeller did the same thing in 2002.

A stroll down memory lane...
Quote:
"The director [Clapper] of a top American spy agency said Tuesday that he believed that material from Iraq's illicit weapons program had been transported into Syria and perhaps other countries as part of an effort by the Iraqis to disperse and destroy evidence immediately before the recent war.
THE STRUGGLE FOR IRAQ - WEAPONS SEARCH - Iraqis Removed Arms Material, U.S. Intelligence Agency Director Says - NYTimes.com

Clapper said satellite imagery showing a heavy flow of traffic from Iraq into Syria, just before the American invasion in March, led him to believe that illicit weapons material ''unquestionably'' had been moved out of Iraq. Clapper was speaking in his then capacity as the Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
https://www.nga.mil/Pages/default.aspx

Obama subsequently promoted Clapper to Director of National Intelligence.

And exactly how would Iraq know to move its illicit weapons right before the invasion? Answer: The treasonous stunt Democrat Senator Rockefeller pulled that prompted Iraq to move the weapons:
Quote:
Rockefeller (D-WV): "I took a trip by myself in January of 2002 to Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria, and I told each of the heads of state that it was my view that George Bush had already made up his mind to go to war against Iraq, that that was a predetermined set course which had taken shape shortly after 9/11."
Transcript: Sens. Roberts, Rockefeller

(Oh, and by the way... Rockefeller voted FOR the Iraq War.)

Now look at how all this has played out in Syria since then.

How is any of this not treason?

I wonder if Kerry gave them assurances that Trump will soon be impeached ?

During the election the Left pounded the podium telling us how important it was for our democracy that there be a peaceful transfer of power.... but that was when they thought Trump would lose and contest the results.
Well Trump upset their best laid plans, more like schemes and they have been trying to undermine and subvert his election and administration since he took office.

What a bunch of hypocrites.

As pointed out in your post.
Its not the first time the Dems have interfered in foreign policy. Everywhere we look its one democrat after another and Kerry is the latest example.
His interest and motive appears to be his personal legacy. Kerry isn't an elected or appointed representative of US government. He is just another butt hurt loser tossed aside by the election of Trump, who puts himself ahead of America and a new direction

Not just nukes. WMDs are also chemical and biological weapons. Where have we just recently seen the use of such? Syria. I've posted prior Dem unathorized contact with Syria. Connect the dots.

Why do I keep getting an image of North Korea on this one?

The deal with Iran was a the best of a the worst situation deal.

There was no way Iran was going to completely comply -- but it is better to have some kind of deal & try to work towards that goal -- then to just stand firm and not try to get any kind of improvement.

That's what is happening now with North Korea. Anyone is naive to think that North Korea is not going to play a little dirty if a final peace treaty/deal is reached. But it is better to have an iffy arrangement -- then to play the stupid game of tossing test missiles around and threatening retaliation.

Yes I think Trump & administration are doing the right thing in North Korea but think it is hypocritical to criticize Iran deal when the final North Korea deal is NOT made and we aren't three years into with Kim ignoring the deal and doing what he wants.

I suspect Trump is going to find out how complex and difficult working with these countries that can't be trusted is and he may have a better understanding why previous administrations over years and years of working on it -- weren't able to make it all better.

Kind of how he learned health care is complex and so is international trading. It is a give and take...and what seems like not the ideal solution may be the best solution given all the parameters.

He was soliciting donations for Hillary's 2020 election bid and the Clinton Charity.

Probably cut a deal to sell some uranium ore and retrieved Hillary's 33,000 emails.

I don't see any evidence of chemical weapons use in Syria.

However, I do see a lot of propaganda and disinformation disseminated by Western Media.
