To me that is kind of like saying one likes Hitler's paintings......I hate to go there but as has been pointed out many times, what one did nearly 50 years ago doesn't really mean much today. It's like those who said they wouldn't vote for Obama because he smoked pot in college.
True but Trump won in good part because the left used to not support stupid wars but forgot all about that with Obama.
Actually- Obama won because he was against the wars. That was his main calling card in Iowa in the D primaries.
What happened in office is the same thing facing Trump now. You may not like the wars but pulling out (and pulling out abruptly) are not options. This is one area of Trump support that boggles my mind- people are simultaneously saying we would leave and then cheering if he calls for strikes.
Its much like the Iran deal- it is going to suck regardless but we've learned the hard way that instability will cost more.
Will the current at the time or any former presidents go to Trump's funeral when that day comes? I would think there will be an unusually large number of prominent Americans that forgo that event.

Oh, I think a good many will, if it's open to anyone outside his family.
I say this because people's views tend to soften once someone passes away.

Look at W, he's going to McCain's funeral and they hated each other. So, yes some will probably go. It will be interesting to see if Ross Perot goes to McCain's funeral. Bit of trivia, while McCain was a prisoner of war, Perot paid Carol McCain's medical bills. They had a falling out later though.
