"On Wednesday, Iowa legislators passed the "Heartbeat" bill, which would ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detectable. On Friday, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds (R) signed the bill into law."

“We’re not hiding that at all. A lot has changed since 1973, including Justices, and frankly, the Court got it wrong...”

Don't think it will be long now before Roe v. Wade will be overturned. A day to celebrate.

As a Doctor on social media stated weeks ago (referring to Alphie UK) that got overwhelming Liberal support (especially on here) said "no child is the property of their parents - they dont own them".

Iowa legislators agree.

"Backers of the so-called “heartbeat” bill – which didn’t get a single Democratic vote in the Legislature during final passage – expressed hope it could challenge Roe vs. Wade, the landmark 1973 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that established women have a right to terminate pregnancies until a fetus is viable. Conservatives say an influx of right-leaning judicial appointments under President Trump could make it a possibility."

"Not a single Democrat voted for the bill, which means not a single Democrat has a problem with killing a baby with a heartbeat."

The democrat party is the party of death for sure.

But I don't think the majority of women in every state want to give up 100% of their rights to an abortion. This was quite well proven as very true back when the highly Christian Right state of Mississippi through a citizen vote soundly rejected adopting a personhood amendment by 58 to 41%. Passage of it would have essentially banned all abortion.

Even if Roe vs Wade is overturned it means never ending battles in all 50 states to get abortion banned. The majority of women don't want the state to automatically decide for them that they absolutely must give birth to a baby caused by incest or rape.

This bill will not stop abortion, it will return it to the backrooms where women's health will be endangered and self-righteous twits will pat themselves on the back for having moved it there.

The democrat party is the party of death for sure.

The GOP is the party of liars when they claim to favor less government and less government interference in peoples' lives.

This bill will not stop abortion, it will return it to seedy backrooms where women's health will be endangered and self-righteous twits will pat themselves on the back for having moved it there.

What will happen to all the unwanted extra babies women would be forced to bear?

What will happen if a woman and/or the fetus dies of complications from a forced pregnancy or childbirth?

Whether it's just one death or the death of both the mother and baby, people who want abortion banned will simply tell you it was all due to the will of God. They probably also see miscarriages as that way, too.

Will just be tied up in courts and lose in the end. It doesn't challenge Roe v. Wade. You're a fool if you think so.

This law will be overturned. Bible thumpers can fight abortion rights until the end of time but abortion is not going away. That we must waste taxpayer money to overturn thes silly state laws is a shame.

Child, not fetus. Child.

Are women the property of their fetus? Sounds like Iowa legislators believe so.
