I dare the Republicans to put a bill solely dealing with the separation of parents and their children at the border without any other attachments. That will prove they care about this issue. Adding extraneous items to a bill shows they are just like the despicable POS that is president and are using the issue as leverage.

Hard for Trump to want to keep families apart, when his last wife came in a box of "Yugo repair parts"!

This is a Republican Congress that has not stood up to Donald Trump on anything before. You can bet they are capable of reading polls, too, and knew they were on the wrong side of this issue.

...
McConnell?

It's a miracle, Mama.

I dare the Democrats to put their name to no vote on a comprehensive immigration reform bill.

How about the massive republican gerrymandering, that is the only reason they have a majority in the House of Representatives? Does the ends justify the means in that case? Apparently so to you, since the advantage unethically gained, is on your side of things.

Republicans have no desire for a comprehensive immigration reform bill.

They would lose a fear mongering issue that keeps them elected.

Republicans run on fear....fear of MS-13....fear of Mexicans....fear of Muslims and fear of blacks (unless you are Kanye) and apparently fear of hispanic children seeking asylum hence the internment camps who Trump thinks are all gang members.

I was suggesting nothing. You are the one who chose to use the wayback machine, I was simply responding to you, saying that there were many who came here and were sent back, not just because they didn't pass the standards, but also because once the 'number of immigrant from a country' limit had been reached then those immigrants from that country were sent back, even if they would have been an asset to this country.

Perhaps you were the one that was doing the suggesting, that you would want anyone and everyone to just be able to walk in and automatically become a citizen, much like they had in colonial times...which is why you brought that up to begin with.

Asylum seekers are not illegal. That's the law that Trump and Assoc. are ignoring.
