The war against illegal immigration is winless unless America somehow outlawed birthright citizenship which is abused by immigrants from all over the world. Even China has a system where they fly in rich pregnant women to have kids
Quote:
Chinese nationals use the so-called birth hotels in order to win citizenship for their children — in most situations, a child born in the United States or one of its territories will automatically receive American citizenship. Women often pay as much as $100,000 to get into one of the hotels.P
It’s hilarious that as the world’s richest country we think we have a fighting chance against illegals when we reward their children with citizenship, who will grow up to sponsor their undocumented parents for a green card.
So this is getting INSANE. Jeff Sessions is saying they never really intended to separate families. Wasn't it Jeff Sessions that quoted the Bible to justify it? Now he's saying it was never their intention???
"Attorney General Jeff Sessions said on Thursday that the Trump administration "never really intended" to separate migrant children from their parents when he issued its aggressive crackdown on immigration prosecutions."

Doesn't matter what's going on in prison. These babies have not been convicted of a crime.
Agreed. I'm just tired of hearing people compare children who are removed from parents who are in prison to the situation that has been occurring at the border. It's not the same.
The administration is still planning to house children through the end of the year.
Up to 20,000 children.
“The Pentagon is being asked by the Department of Health and Human Services to provide temporary beds for up to 20,000 undocumented children. That bed space would be needed beginning in July and running through the end of the year.”
Myth
DHS has a policy to separate families at the border.
Fact
DHS does not have a blanket policy of separating families at the border. However, DHS does have a responsibility to protect all minors in our custody. This means DHS will separate adults and minors under certain circumstances. These circumstances include: 1) when DHS is unable to determine the familial relationship, 2) when DHS determines that a child may be at risk with the parent or legal guardian, or 3) when the parent or legal guardian is referred for criminal prosecution.

Myth
DHS separates families who entered at the ports of entry and who are seeking asylum – even though they have not broken the law.
Fact
If an adult enters at a port of entry and claims asylum, they will not face prosecution for illegal entry. DHS does have a responsibility to protect minors we apprehend and will separate in three circumstances:1) when DHS is unable to determine the familial relationship, 2) when DHS determines that a child may be at risk with the parent or legal guardian, or 3) when the parent or legal guardian is referred for criminal prosecution.

Heck, I see my grandsons every few months. When we see them, they run up to us and hug tightly and believe me, we do the same with them.
These parents barely held that boy.
Yes, the mother had as much interest in the boy as she would have if they'd brought a suitcase into the room.
In the article it was stated that the boy had been sick and throwing up while he and the dad were still traveling to get here. The kid was traumatized before he even got here. What the child has gone through rests with the parents, no one else.
Sounds great on paper but they are here, you think it represents American values to take kids away from their parents in some cases permanently and put them in detention centers?
Once again, how do you know if the adults who brought them are their parents? Trafficking minors into the US is a big problem.
Apparently, you think that we should just hand these kids over to any adult who claims to be their parent. Never mind that the child could well have been trafficked.
Why don't you invite these people into Canada? I'm sure that you will be waiting to welcome them with open arms and a place in your own home.
