The US media is radio silent on this.

Iran retaliated today.
None of this is a positive for the ME.

I think this is mainly Iran trying to save face after the US pulled out of the deal.

Israel has been conducting small air strikes for a few years now in Syria, and this is the first Syrian/Iranian response. Hopefully it is the last one but we will see.

Aye well Israel is responding now and even claiming it is. That seems strange/alarming since they usually never acknowledge one way or the other.

Israel started this one. They bombed Iranian targets in Syria weeks ago, yesterday, and today, leading to a long overdue retaliatiom from Syria amd Iran. Syria retaliated IN the Golan Heights, which the entire world including the US acknowledges as Syrian territory occupied by Israel. Considering it’s an occupation, any Syrian attack on the Israelis in the Golan Heights is basically fair game and likely within international law.

What did international law say about Syria using the Golan as a launching ground for unprovoked attacks on Israel?

You should take into consideration the reason why Israel got the Golan Heights in the first place.

It IS weird that US outlets are quiet... by the looks of it this was a very big IDF op. Israel is claiming they destroyed 80% of Iran's military hardware in Syria.

Hope I'm wrong but I'm thinking the proxy war is finally done and full-scale open war is upon us. Guessing gas is gonna be a lot more expensive in the morning.

Also, Israel is smart. Unlike the US, at least under Obama, Israel has had enough of Iran's threats and is going to neutralize the problem.
How are they gonna do that?

It’s amazing. I just have to laugh. Gotta give it to the Israelis...they know how to bide their time and wait until they have their man in Washington. Trump is their boy.

Now they feel free to pursue their policy of getting us into a war with Iran. And we’re gonna bite. Conservatives WILL support Trump in going to war. Israel is floating all the trial balloons fishing for a pretext.

It’ll be a very long war folks. Hug all your family and friends in the military.
