Yeah........can you imagine the outrage by the left if that was said about Trump.
Hey, I'm on the left...I'm just closer to the middle. I would hope even those on the far left would have a problem with this kind of thing, but that may be asking too much.

Oh, I think he's a hateful you-know-what who has lived off the 'he's a hero' bit for a few decades too long, but have a little class by saying nothing or being neutral in your comments instead of engaging in this kind of thing.
This past election brought out the very worst in we humans. When we see a man who has zero compassion for anyone else, who gets his flock cheering when he spews ugly , hateful remarks, and who lies, cheats, and steals, and his people dismiss that somehow, it just goes to show how low we have become as a country.
When I see how we are becoming as a society, it makes me wonder if the end is not close at hand.
I look at the different components of McCain's life separately.
I have tremendous respect for his military service and his role as a father.
I have less respect for him as a husband (re his first marriage).
And I have much less respect for him as a politician. He should always have spoken his mind and not worried about getting reelected (he didn't need the money from his Senate salary), rather than worrying about saying the right thing to get reelected. The excerpts that mention that in the link don't make me want to read the book. He shouldn't have run in his last election on repealing the ACA...without putting any conditions on his vote to repeal...unless he meant it. He lied to his constituents.

I don't think he hates Trump. He loves our country, that's different.
He knows Trump is a con man with criminal intent, surrounded by a gang of thieves. He should feel free to speak his mind, Trump certainly always has ...
