nor would i like to have a job cleaning bathrooms at starbucks.
Truth. I think that more cities should work on having some sort of public restroom options. I have seen some that charge a small amount (I am thinking a quarter) to use so they can take that money to offset the costs of cleaning and maintenance.
It's not a bad option to have some extra facilities like these around. It's not like bathrooms clean themselves and there are still some free options around.

The Starbucks I go to on the weekends actually has a good amount of homeless people hanging out around it, and fairly often even hangout out inside it. It's not really that bad.
The local coffee shop I used to go to all the time is very generous to homeless people in that way. Last I heard they're going out of business... despite that the place is always full, there are no paying customers left!
This is good thing from both a criminal justice and a public health perspective. Forcing homeless people to relieve themselves on the street spread disease and effectively criminalizes poverty.

Maybe I am too particular, but I tend to avoid places where the homeless hang out, and want a dining experience that is better than "Not That Bad". Well, except when I have worked in soup kitchens giving out free food, but then that is to be expected.
