They've never charged where I live and never kept them locked and I've been to all their locations in the city. No purchase required.

Starbucks just got their tails kicked after the arrest of those two black guys, so I guess they are not going to make that mistake again.

Truth. I think that more cities should work on having some sort of public restroom options. I have seen some that charge a small amount (I am thinking a quarter) to use so they can take that money to offset the costs of cleaning and maintenance.

It's not a bad option to have some extra facilities like these around. It's not like bathrooms clean themselves and there are still some free options around.

There are always people who will need the rent money badly enough to deal with it.

The local coffee shop I used to go to all the time is very generous to homeless people in that way. Last I heard they're going out of business... despite that the place is always full, there are no paying customers left!

This is good thing from both a criminal justice and a public health perspective. Forcing homeless people to relieve themselves on the street spread disease and effectively criminalizes poverty.

homeless people everywhere rejoice.
They always have ; at least the ones I've been in. God forbid a homeless person be allowed to relieve themselves.

Maybe I am too particular, but I tend to avoid places where the homeless hang out, and want a dining experience that is better than "Not That Bad". Well, except when I have worked in soup kitchens giving out free food, but then that is to be expected.
