Usually because they like you and me on drugs.

It really is insane how much sugar Starbucks puts in their drinks. To put it into perspective, the WHO says that a normal adult should limit their sugar intake to 25 grams per day... a single hot chocolate from Starbucks has a whopping 43 grams. That's almost double your daily value in one drink. On top of that, many people also buy things like scones, muffins, cookies, etc. to have with their drinks, which are also all full of sugar. It's no wonder diabetes is so common among adults.

It's really easy to get a cocoa from there that's not too sweet if you know what they use to make it.

It's made with chocolate and with vanilla syrup.

Soo.... you need less of everything, not just what the barista probably thought.... which was not to add any sweetener, which they likely think of as simple syrup, and there is none of that in a hot chocolate.

Their cider, for example, has apple juice, cinnamon dolce syrup, AND a caramel drizzle. I have to order it with one pump of syrup in a grande (which I think is supposed to have SIX OF THOSE) and light on the caramel drizzle or I cannot drink it.

It's all in how you order. Most coffee drinks I order with half the usual pumps of syrup and no whip. I don't do whip.
Good god.

Deathly sweet should not be the default for any of their drinks.

Who knows if people are liberal or conservative when they buy a cup of coffee?

Tax payers should insist that their city and county governments provide bathroom and hand-washing facilities.

America is so backwards on this issue. It's a simple public health issue, but people are too greedy to pay for public bathrooms.

homeless people everywhere rejoice.
The perception is that homeless people are less clean.

I've been in the women's restrooms of some fancy smancy restaurants -- let me tell you -- some women are pigs.....oh yeah -- they paint up good. Spackle that foundation on, rouge those cheeks and give some good lipstick - but dang it don't they turn in to some two bit piece of trash the way they treat the restrooms.

I hope Starbucks has the restrooms cleaned and disinfected every half hour. Just based on the sheer volume of people using the facilities. And I would hate to think about the germs the employees are subject to and then are making your drink. Ew.

The funny thing is the original Starbucks location in Seattle doesn’t even have a bathroom .

I have been to at least one location in L.A that doesn’t have a bathroom .

I remember reading they were getting rid of a lot of bathrooms because the homeless destroy them .

I’m sure the workers won’t be happy . But the SJW executives don’t have to clean the bathrooms .

Doubt they’ll clean them every 30 mins .

Starbucks’ open bathroom policy may be hurting foot traffic, new study finds

Quote:
Starbucks' (SBUX) changes to its bathroom policy appear to be impacting foot traffic for the coffee giant, despite sales that have outpaced expectations, according to recent data.

Since opening its bathroom doors to the public in the wake of a controversial incident in Philadelphia, the coffee giant has seen a 6.8% drop in store attendance per month relative to other coffee shops nearby, according to the findings of a joint study from the University of Texas at Dallas and Boston College.
