The NRA fought for the “Lawful Purpose and Self-Defense Act" which denies the government authority to reclassify bullets as “armor piercing ammunition.”

Quote:
It’s okay if the ammunition pierces body armor, as long as the manufacturer claims the ammo is meant to be used for sport and not for killing people wearing body armor.

This provision is particularly timely because a growing percentage of Western grizzlies have been seen in recent years wearing Kevlar vests when they attack schools in Wyoming.

Doesn't the NRA understand that this puts our law enforcement at risk?

LMAO. Western grizzlies wearing Kevlar?? Did you even read what you posted?!! Obviously this guy is trying to be sarcastic, but it misses the mark completely. Maybe he needs some 'armor-piercing ammo'; also known as hunting ammo.

The NRA doesn't give a damn about law enforcement. Follow the money. They are in bed with gun and ammo manufacturers.

More idiocy from ignorant anti gun nuts. Virtually ALL rifle rounds will pierce body armor. Liberals would love to classify all rifle ammunition as "armor piercing" and ban it.

But it's ok for cops to use armor piercing bullets on civilians. I remember back in the 1990s when the "Black Talon" bullets caused such a controversy. Funny, many police departments use this kind of ammo.

If police and military have them so should the public.
"Shall not be infringed" is pretty clear

I for one don't care about "our" cops. I only care about property rights.

If the military is allowed to use them to slaughter people overseas (paid for with my tax money), then by all means I should be able to own them as well for self-defense.

According to the left Trump is in collusion with Putin. When Putin starts landing the Russian tanks on American soil people are going to want armor piercing bullets.

The second amendment gives you the right to 'bear arms'. Assuming it means a fire arm e.g. rifle or pistol and not your physical arms and hands and fingers ... it doesn't say anything about allowing you to have bullets.
