ROTFLMAO ........ I think this qualify as the funnest post of the month.
Agreed. Either this person did not know about the history of Iran in the late 1970s to today or this person is in complete denial. Perhaps this person mistakenly believes because Iran has not actually attacked USA militarily nor pose a direct military threat then they aren’t our enemy. This government of Iran has sworn publicly to destroy USA & Israel. They supplied arms and training to terrorist fighting American troops in Iraq. Some believe some of those terrorist fighting American troops were actually part of the Iranian military minus their uniform. A nation can be an enemy state without firing a shot or declaring war.

You don’t have to talk to other posters about me. I’m right here.
What does Iran in the late 1970’s have to do with anything? The Iranian Revolution was a response to American abuses in Iran. We made enemies of the Iranian people. The deterioration of the relationship was our fault, not theirs.
Moreover, we supplied arms to Iraq and and assisted them in their invasion of Iran.
What Iran is to Israel is none of our business. They aren’t a threat to the United States.
The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States.
At the time of Flynn's meeting, we weren't having a "dispute" with the Russians, at least in regards to foreign policy or major multi-national agreements.
Currently, we are having a dispute with the Iranians over this nuclear agreement ... and Kerry is publicly meeting with Iranian officials, and he is currently not authorized by the US government to have these meetings/conversations.
Obviously, the word "dispute" is vague and is very much open to interpretation, but only a fool would not agree that we are currently disputing with the Iranians. And according to the Logan Act, Kerry is very much in violation of this federal law.
And btw, excusing Kerry's actions by saying he can meet with anyone sets up a very dangerous precedent. Essentially, you should have no problem if past Trump administration personnel (Pompeo, Bolton, Trump himself) fly around the world trying to undermine the next Democratic president's foreign policy. Be careful what you wish for.
Didn't this thread start out on the topic of old Swiftboat paying his respects to our enemy? That is nothing new for him.
