Stress leaves 80 per cent of women feeling unable to cope | Daily Mail Online

Quote:
Women are significantly more stressed than men, according to the country's largest survey on the issue.

It found 81 per cent have felt overwhelmed and unable to cope in the past year, compared with 67 per cent of men.

More than a third have felt suicidal from stress, compared with 29 per cent of men, and 18 per cent of women have self-harmed as a result of it. Women's biggest stress issue was personal finance, with 43 per cent citing it, while for men it was the pressures of work (41 per cent).
Wonder how accurate this is? And regardless, you can't just blame men, feminists are constantly pressuring women to be a successful career woman and to forego children.

Makes sense.

That is because men stress their wives out and are more dead baggage for them. This is why wives do better than men after the death of their spouse. In other words, most men are not carrying their own weight in a marriage.

1 in every 5 moms says not having enough help from their spouse is a major source of daily stress
What’s more, researchers from the University of Padova have recently discovered that this carries over into a difference in health further down the road, when one partner passes away. When husbands lose their wives, their health deteriorates, but when women lose their husbands, they actually become healthier and are better at coping with stress and depression. (2) The researchers suspected this was because the men relied more heavily on their female partners than vice versa.

Women do more and have greater responsibility, no wonder they are more stressed out...
No matter where I look, family, friends etc. Women run the world and fix the problems men create, and don't even get the same pay and recognition as men.

Yep. If men were such wonderful husbands, 70% of divorces would not be filed by the wives.

I believe that on average women are mentally tougher than men.

I believe men are more stressed. We tend to die younger.

A widow, I know of, met a man who promised to show her the world. After she married him, he parked his ass in a recliner and expected her to do all the cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Who wants that?

I would anecdotally say, based on a lifetime of experience, that women are more likely than men to recognize and admit they feel depression or stress, but men experience both almost equally with women.

I did read a study recently where women reported they have become less happy since ww2 and men's happiness has risen since ww2. can't remember where I read it, however.

I am not sure if women are MORE stressed compare to men.

In my family, both my sister and my sister in law have tried suicide. My sister's stress came from a failed relationship, my sister-in-law tried when she was younger. After marrying my brother, she no longer felt depressed.

I lost four MEN to suicide. One late boyfriend, three childhood friends.
