There is no "real America". It's a euphemism used by Sarah Palin types who push the narrative only white, Christian "Americana" is the "real America". We're a mixture of cultures and always have been, however the dominant one which has had all the power and pushed the others by the wayside is losing its iron grip, hence the pushback from the more sheltered parts of the country who don't want to lose their dominance.

but one of the problem with America is the individual thought, instead of trying to be American, all the minority groups want their own little system but to be protected under the American umbrella. its not whats good for America but whats good for their individual group, they can care less about the other Americans.
You're right. Now America includes Communists, Socialists and other subversives that want to bring us down a notch.
These types tend to live on the coasts, and "Real America" is watching. Get involved.

Obama was never going to be able to work with Congress because the GOP planned to never support anything the First Black POTUS wanted to do.
The GOP showed Trump how to win using hate based politics. Now we see the results of having a con man in office, graft, corruption and nepotism. Giving us the most Corrupt administration since Harding and the Tea Pot Dome scandal.
If only liberal politicians felt the same way. Imagine the amount of empowerment, self dignity, and pride that would come with the poor from self-reliance instead of the blaming, self-victimization, and helpless that’s much more prevalent.
Back on topic, Obama represents half of American with the handouts, entitlement, social programs, government intervention, victimization, blaming and Trump represents the other half with self reliance, independence, freedom of choice, and free market.
But some of the major cities, particularly on the West Coast, are a pretty convincing argument that "progressivism" isn't working; mostly because without backing up natural market forces with strong anti-vagrancy, and anti-parasitic measures; there's no way to compel the illegal immigrants, ivory-tower Leftist academics, and conservative-hating perpetual-adolescent-wannabees to pull their weight. The end product is no more functional than Europe in 1945 -- it just takes a while longer to get there, and doesn't compel those citizens and cities which choose to play by the rules.

Most of us will be there -- "(figuratively) bloody, bold and resolute", but willing to clean up the mess; with an open mind and spirit; I'm not so sure about the gangsters who made most of that mess.
The coastal cities are the economic engines of America. We support you (not you per se but this segment of the population) but overlook you and, well, look down on you. You revolted by voting in a character from NYC that you thought listened to you and felt your pain. Or, maybe you wanted to bring down the country to your level. Regardless, you are expediting the demise of the American Empire. Congratulations.
