It's actually Griffin, not Griffith. If you're going to use an anecdote to make a point, as if you care about the anecdotal subject then at least get the party's freakin name right.

To add irony on top of the dumbness allow me to point out that it was CNN, the most PC of liberal PC networks that fired her. It's not like CNN's vast audience of conservatives rose up en masse and demanded she be silenced. Hot tip - Conservatives don't watch CNN, follow Griffin's tweets or watch her dopey new yrs routine with stodgy Anderson Cooper. She was purged by liberal purgers. That's called being hoist by one's own petard. Too funny.

Oh come on. RWNJ's around the country were SCREAMING for her to be fired, shot at sunrise, you name it. Stop with the lies that conservatives don't know who she is.

I'm not a huge fan of celebrities, unlike most righties, so forgive the spelling of last name.

I wouldn't put the guy in Trump tweet status, but he was more than capable - and generous - with his insults all the same. But who cares? When did we become a society of people so readily able to insult others and so quick to nurse our own injured feelings so seamlessly?
Was he really hurling insults when he said that? Or was he discussing a problem and how people are misguidedly dealing with their frustrations?

Because those comments are not insults. They are stating he realized people were clinging to some things that might not be so healthy to cling to, because they had frustrations that were not being addressed.

Why's that so terrible, exactly?

Meanwhile, at Camp Trump, he's on the toilet again at 5am, hurling rude insults at any number of people, foreign or domestic.

It's just not presidential.

You realize that not everyone thinks like you, right?

That said, if you showed your disappointment over Obama being a liberal president while posting photos of him in a noose? Not okay.

If you simply said "I am not a liberal and I don't support liberals, so I didn't vote for Obama?" I cannot see any issue with that sort of disagreement.

I mean, calling Obama an idiot would be fine if you thought he was doing stupid things, but calling him a "house negro" or something similar? Tell me again about how it's just politics.

I guess that's where the PC thing comes in, eh?

Believe me I'm not saying that liberals have been shiny examples of promoting free speech.

I just don't get this perception that conservatives are the defenders of free speech. Like sure maybe when it suits them....

See perhaps the biggest issue I have is if someone is using their free speech to shut down someone else's free speech. Does someone such as Trump in the above example get a pass for promoting free speech?

Little did we know. Anyway, it was Obama's attempt to silence anyone who agreed.
Oh, good grief. That is very delicate.

All politicians talk that way about one another when they are on opposing sides. I didn't see Obama calling his wife a porn start like so many people love to refer to Michelle Obama as a "tranny," and surely you can see the difference here?

Obama and Trump were politically on opposing sides. Obama's not going to go out and sing Trump's praises. NO politician does that.

Remember, Trump spent 8 years trying to convince the world that Obama wasn't even a damned citizen, even though the man was born in Hawaii (a state) to a citizen (his mother).

Good grief.

Well gee! Heaven forbid Liberals and Conservatives agree on something.

As was explained to you 2x already it was [LIBERAL] CNN that canned her.

Your gripe is with the Left. Perhaps beat yourself up.

Oh, that's not insulting? For an enormous populace of diverse and independent-thinking Americans to be lumped into a singular insult involving God and guns and racism?

You do a creative job reworking the insult acknowledged the world 'round, but show once again an inability to be the slightest bit objective. I'll be sure to remind you of this logic of yours the next time you express upset about the words of a conservative here. And hey! I didn't have to wait long. You couldn't even go without mentioning Trump here. You are nothing if not predictable!

The term 'Oriental' is outdated, but is it racist?

It is now politically incorrect to use the word “Oriental,” and the admonition has the force of law: President Obama recently signed a bill prohibiting use of the term in all federal documents. Rep. Grace Meng, the New York congresswoman who sponsored the legislation, exulted that “at long last this insulting and outdated term will be gone for good.”

...
"Oriental" is not a country. "America" is a country.

Most people now prefer Latino/Latina/Latinx instead of Hispanic, though some do not care. Much like I'm sure some Asian people do not care re: Oriental.

Why's it so painful to call people what they prefer to be called?

I doubt if you were referring to something and said "Oriental" in everyday conversation, you'd be skewered for it. Corrected, maybe. In which case, a gracious person might say "oh, I was unaware of this, I'll use Asian in the future."

Then? You use "Asian" in the future.

See? That's not even hard to do.
