I’m sure people get terminated for many reasons, lawfully and unlawfully, on a daily basis. But this has nothing to do with the fact that federal regulations exist to help employers understand the limits of their actions, for example requiring their employees speak English all the time, and resources exist for employees if they suspect they are targets of workplace discrimination.

Educating employers about these EEOC regulations makes these employers better people and more American. Yay USA.

Whether you like it or not, the US will be the 2nd largest Spanish speaking nation in the world, if it isn't already. Speaking multiple languages is good for your brain. It really doesn't kill Swiss people to know German, French, Italian AND English all at once.

What I would suggest you do is ask someone in business how many times they have stopped or questioned their employees based on what they overheard them saying. Everything they are saying related to that business is potentially related to safety or productivity.

This fool who needs a safe-space where he's shielded from the speaking of Spanish has a website that offers services in English. And Spanish - as well as French, Mandarin, and Hebrew.

When it helps HIM make money he is willing to deal with anyone--no matter what language they speak
When it comes to anyone else--not so much a fan of foreign speakers....
I think this just illustrates how we all live our lives under the camera...

I like it when employees do speak English, but I wouldn't get all bent out of shape about it. The best thing to do is to learn Spanish, that way you will know if they are talking about you, lol.

I think it is comical that you think this can get you out of the EEOC regulation. You’ve been called out. Just get over it and learn to be a better would-be employer. You and the world will be better for it. All the best.

This guy needs to just move to the South. New York is not going to let this slide. He's lost his office space, a GoFundMe raised a thousand dollars to hire a Mariachi band and a taco truck to come to his work place, the New York local news went to his place of work to find out he wasn't there anymore, they are waiting for him where he lives, many more videos are showing up where similar behavior is displayed, even the doormen have made comments. Apparently he said on his website that he is a member of the New York Bar Association and the NY Bar Association confirmed he is not a member.

He chose one of the most international cities in the world to display his racism and the people speaking Spanish weren't even speaking to him.

He attacked some guy on the sidewalk as a foreigner and the guy was an American born in Massachusetts.

He protested at a Trump rally against Jews who supported Palestinians, screaming that they were not real Jews.

Isn't it funny how many videos were quickly discovered of this guy behaving this way. Trump, the original birther, has made this kind of behavior acceptable to half the country.
