Uh, no.

Russia doesn’t give a crap about NK. And they would not rush to China’s aid. Instead, they would sit back, bluster and do nothing. There is nothing in it for Russia. China only supports NK because it is a buffer from a democratic country to the south. NK relies solely on China for trade.

NK knows they are weak and don't stand a chance in an all-out war... but they also know that nobody wants to actually take them out because there is little to gain and the costs would be high to do so.

So they play games... and so do we.
Exactly.

Trump starts a twitter fuss, insulting the "little rocket man" and one thing and another.

Then Trump declares victory in his wee twitter war by announcing he will meet with the North Korean dictator.

Trump fans immediately start celebrating Trump's soon-to-be-annouced Nobel Peace Prize.

Seems now the meeting will depend on Trump meeting certain conditions.

And so it goes.

Crazy stuff, Gaddafi did not have nukes, he gave them up before the spring rising and the US getting involved.
Gaddafi's death is the whole reason KIM will NEVER give up his Nukes without China establishing a base in NK much like the US has in Japan, Europe....

Trump is in a lose lose situation, any deal he makes will not be as good as the Iran deal, not even close, because the best deal trump can get in for Kim to drop the long and medium range missiles while retaining the nukes themselves. (i hear he has 30-90 nukes )

Kim has no reason to give up his nukes with the nukes the US can never attack him or his nation. But he does have plenty of reason to threaten and bully Trump into giving him billions in relief and cash.

China has a lot but still limited power in this deal, they can cut off cash and they can threaten, but remember Kim has nukes and ultimately he would use them to save himself and Xi knows this .

I know how this ends,

1 no talks, no deal Trump talks about how strong he was.

2 Deal comes down to giving Kim billions for making unverifiable promises relating to limitations NOT elimination of his weapons. And trump declares himself a "winner"...

Totally wrong.

If it involves messing with the US through a third party, Russia is all for it. IE Syria.

Everyone in the world knows the US couldn't win a war in NK except a chunk of the US people.

The US almost did... once... then China put an end to it.

Well, this is exactly why the left wanted to wait and see whether that glimmer of hope for peace would last.

This turn of events is sorta proving them right...
