All other Presidents were smart and never gave Kim the time of day in public yes you have him watched but trump being a wacked idiot himself gave kim a seat at the big boys table.

This thread is like an alternate universe. Bolton made the statement comparing N Korea to Libya and Trump denounced that statement fairly quickly. Trump does have to be responsible for his administration, but Trump handled Bolton’s stupid comments well. Which is shocking because normally it’s Trumps staff in damage control over what Trump says and not visa versa.

trump isnt having any of that. at this point obama or bush would have sent someone to make a deal to appease kim, and then a few months later kim would have started back up again.

appeasement doesnt work with dictators, it only empowers them. trump has laid on the sanctions, and gotten china to lay them on as well, and that is cutting into NKs economy hard, and kim needs to make it stop without getting destroyed in the process.

also remember it was kim that called for the meeting in singapore.
North Korean hasn't played any other president because they didn't give him the time of day. Presidents have ignored them because they can't be trusted.

Well, thats one strange way to encourage a talk..
Kim learned of what happened to Gaddafi and put two and two together ... whether there is truth to it or not, it seems that way, so here we are ...

Shame Trump doesn't follow the Constitution and we'd all reap the benefits. Bring the troops home and protect our borders like the Constitution says.

Is it just me? Ever notice that every time they attempt (in the m.e countries) to do that $hit hits the fan. Bush tried it (i think twice) and a battle broke out. Obama tried it; same thing happened. If it was me I would not 'announce' troop withdrawal. It would be just a one day they all look up and say ... where did they all go? Where did who go? ... We'd be gone, every tank and every last duffel bag ... However, we're in the peace keeping business, if one can believe that.
