This cant be reiterated enough. Doesn't matter what gun bans we put in place; its just a matter of time when the next mass shooting happens. We simply can not get rid of all the mentally disturbed people in this world.

Then they should either be medicated and observed 24/7 if they are going to live amongst us or put into a facility.
And why is it more prevalent now ? We are we seeing these things increasing ? Are we dealing with and epidemic of Schizophrenia ?

And I'm going disagree on the "most of" part. Some, not most.

They are certainly more frequent now and more deadly now too. Modern firearms are more efficient and the offenders tend to have multiple guns and more bullets.

Modern firearms are more efficient ? That doesn't even make sense. Not much has changed in the AR15 , for instance since the 60's when it was first available.

The US does NOT have a higher rate of mental illness than England or France or Spain or any country in Europe where school shootings are not anywhere near as common as here. What the US DOES have is a much higher rate of gun ownership. Get rid of the guns!

So just like in Parkland, there was a fire drill right before the shooting.

Quote:
"So, it was just a normal-like class day. We all were doing our work in first period. And then all of a sudden like it's a fire drill," 14-year-old junior Angelica Martinez said.

So we followed the fire drill procedures. And then we went outside. Like we were all standing there, but not even five minutes later, we all start hearing gunshots."

Saw this all the time in the 80's in KS.
Society was pretty good back then.
